Making a personal injury accident claim
If you have been involved in an accident and want to make a claim, make sure that you have as strong a case as possible.
Firstly, swap insurance details and contact details with the other party; it’s important to get the other party’s insurance details to help speed up any claim. Try also to and get the contact details of any witness to the accident.
Although you will be shaken by the accident, try and take a note of any damage to the cars, and make sure you talk to your passengers about what happened. And, if it’s possible, take photographs as this will help with any claim.
If injured take note of any doctor’s appointments, hospital visits and treatments that you receive. This will help build your claim.
You should now talk to your insurance company or perhaps consider contacting a personal injury solicitor. A specialist solicitor that specialises in personal injuries will be able to assess your road accident claim and help you win you any compensation (and many will offer a service on a no win no fee basis).
